WEBSITE GRAPHICS (HARLEY DAVIDSON)

The photograph of the Harley Davidson used in the AMRR website design has been reproduced with the kind permission of the owners; Stitch & Nessie.  I met these guys when they were helping out with the RBLR stand at the Ally Pally bike show in London this year and was immediately captivated by their passion for this bike, what it means to them and how they are using it to raise thousands for service charities as well as ensuring people continue to be made aware of the sacrifices being made on a daily basis by our brave men and women on the front line.  We are delighted to have them accompany us on the UK ride this year! The following has been extracted from an email sent to me by Nessie at my request for information about the bike.

The Bike was inspired by a young man called Jason Partridge. He is the son of a friend of ours who has continualy put his life on the line for his country by serving first with the Army and then with the fire and rescue service with the RAF in Afghanistan.

Stitch and I both believed that although we work hard everyday at our jobs that we weren't really giving enough back to the guys and girls that were risking everything for us. We decided to sell our own bikes (Stitch had a Fatboy and I had a Sportster) and we combined  our sales to get this Roadking and have it custom painted.

We got the bike from Shaws Harley Davidson where John Shaw has been very supportive and kind towards us. He gave us a few extras for the bike and made sure it was in perfect condition for us to pick up after the paint job.

The paintwork was created by Image Design in Camberly. The boys there have been fantastic. We knew their work from a previous design on Stitch's fatboy so there was no doubt that they were our first choice for the job.  They spent several months designing the bike from a few photos we had given them and basically we let them do their own thing!.

We use the bike to support the RBLRB as we are members but mostly we collect for the charity Afghan Heroes. We have been extremely proud of the support we have received from everyone we have spoken to and will continue to do our bit for our servicemen and women.

I would also like to thank certain people for making our lives a little easier.  These are: Image design for such a great job and continued support,  Rivco  for supplying a trailer hitch cheaper,  Watling Tyres Gravesend  for the support of tyres and Sharp Signs in Blackfen for the creation of the screen.
