AMRR RIDE PATCH & ROCKER
The AMRR Main Patch is based on the original 'American War Cemetery' (AWC) design used for the first ride in 2009, signifying the origin and purpose of that ride and roots from which the AMRR has grown. The original patch consisted of the white US military star insignia on a blue background with the poppy, the international symbol of remembrance, in the centre. In 2010 the Remembrance Ride became a truly international affair with an organised event, following the same pattern on the same day, being held in the United Kingdom and the United States. To signify this, the crossed flags of the two countries were added to the patch and the poppy brought to the front identifying the true meaning of what the ride has set out to achieve. The new 'Main Patch' is a little larger than the original and has been designed to be a one off under which 'Year Rockers' can be added. 'Year Rockers' have been themed around the 'Main Patch' with the design incorporating the letters AMRR and year either side of a poppy.
This is the Main Patch for the AMRR in both the UK and USA.
